I went to see this costume drama yesterday while hubby was away as I knew he didn't particularly want to see it. This trailer pic is probably the best part of the movie. The costumes looked great; the plot and rest of the movie, not so much.
This was one of the most boring movies I've seen in a long time. I hated the way the film was shot; all gloomy and dark all the time. I don't have to be hit over the head with "atmosphere". Practically every interior shot had the camera man hiding in the closet peeking through filmy curtains or screens. That type of manufactured effect is really irritating when it goes on and on. Some actual dialogue to save the plot would have been welcomed.
Save yourself the $ and don't go see this movie.
